Coal Conversion Facilities (Payment in Lieu of Property Tax)
A privilege tax, which is in lieu of property taxes on the facility, is imposed monthly on a coal conversion facility. The land on which the plant is located remains subject to property tax.

Ashley Community Foundation
The Ashley Community Endowment Fund was established in 1983 to provide support for community projects and programs in the Ashley area. It provides a method of receiving donations and distributing grants to benefit projects or nonprofit organizations in the Ashley area. The Foundation is affiliated with the North Dakota Community Foundation, which is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation under IRS code 501(c)(3) and North Dakota Law.
