Women-Owned Business Certification
The North Dakota Women-Owned Business Certification (WOB) denotes that a woman (or women) has majority ownership and control of business entity (at least 51%). The certification is not based on company size, number of employees, or profitability. This certification is conducted through NDWBC and is authorized by the ND Department of Commerce to examine the applicants’ documentation and qualify the applicant for status as a Certified Women-Owned Business in the State of North Dakota. All entrepreneurs look for a way to share what is special about the way they do business. Women-owned businesses can market their status as a Certified Women-Owned Business to reach new audiences, gain recognition, find new opportunities, and take their business to the next level.
