The purpose of this document is to establish guidelines for structural repairs and utility grants. These grants would be funded by sales tax proceeds, with a maximum amount of 25% of HEDC annual sales tax proceeds from the previous year to be used towards the structural repairs and utility grants.

The purpose is to provide financial assistance to Hillsboro, ND child care providers for remodeling and purchasing equipment from the Childcare Grant and Loan Pool.

The Hillsboro Renaissance Zone provides tax incentives for building or improving both primary residential and commercial property within the Renaissance Zone

As the city of Kindred continues to grow, one of city leadership’s priorities has been the development of a Renaissance Zone Development Plan to encourage the revitalization of the older portions of town and strengthen Kindred’s overall economic development program.

Property Tax Exemption for Improvements to Commercial and Residential Buildings

The intent of Casselton Economic Development’s Storefront Improvement Program is to: • Enhance, protect, and promote Casselton’s historic building character and unique identity • Renovate the exterior facades of deteriorating buildings • Improve the appearance of individual building storefronts including signs and awnings or canopies as well as the overall look of the area, and • Leverage private improvements while making revitalization affordable, creative and community based.

Assisting local communities to develop cooperative strategies that will maintain and expand essential community functions, basic infrastructure, education, health care, housing, and telecommunications. Grants are available for qualifying applicants with businesses serving the Buffalo ND trade area. Grants are available for capital expenditures only.

To assist in the development of prosperity within the community, JDA has determined they will fund community betterment projects such as education, community development, arts & culture, business development, housing development, and capital improvements to structures.

The Business Growth Grant works to support continued growth of local businesses, assist local business owners in meeting general business needs, and expand local businesses.

The City of Mandan offers a retail incentive program for new and expanding businesses that fill a gap in the city’s market profile and meet other program criteria. The business may be locating anywhere in city limits. Eligible businesses may receive assistance for up to $5 per square foot of operating space, not to exceed $20,000 per property.

The AMP will match any convertible debt or direct equity investment into a primary sector company headquartered in ND up to $250,000. The AMP must receive the same terms as the matched investment. The matched investment must be a private source of capital.
