Property Tax Incentives for New or Expanding Businesses
North Dakota Century Code ch. 40-57.1 provides incentives in the form of property tax exemptions, payments in lieu of taxes, or a combination of both to a qualifying business. The incentives may be granted at the discretion of the city or county in which the property is located.
Milnor North Dakota Business Incentive Program
Milnor strives to improve the economic opportunity and success of our community. The Business Incentive Program is committed to positively impact the community by offering financial assistance to small businesses that provide a benefit to the citizens of Milnor. The goal of this program is to expand and improve existing businesses and bring new businesses to our community.
Minot Renaissance Zone
A total of 17 blocks have been declared complete and have been removed from the official Minot Renaissance Zone map. The City has an official count of 40.5 blocks designated in the Renaissance Zone as of 2020. A total of 1.5 blocks are not designated. This number can increase as our population grows or whenever the City declares a block complete and removes it from the official map.
New Salem Renaissance Zone
The Renaissance Zone Program is a tool for community redevelopment and economics investment that incorporates tax incentives to business and residential properties. The Renaissance Act, created by the 56the Legislative Assembly, made possible for North Dakota cities to create Renaissance Zones within their jurisdiction.
